2019-052: Extension to the Implementation Schedule for the MBS Enhanced Single Family Pool Files

Ginnie Mae is providing notice of two updates to the Enhanced Single Family Pool Disclosure Files

  1. Implementation Dates: Based on feedback received from the investor community, and to ensure overall MBS Enhanced Single Family Pool readiness, the Implementation Dates and Last Production Dates in Disclosure bulletin 2019-058 have been extended by two months. The legacy MBS Pool files will continue to be produced until the end of May 2020, and the implementation date for MBS Enhanced Single Family Pool Files will now begin in June 2020. See the tables below.
  2. File Layout Version 1.2: The final layout version, 1.2 is provided. While no record layout changes have been made in this version compared to version 1.1, the following changes should be noted:
    • A simplification of the output rules for occurrences where there is no data value for a field is explained in the “Population of Records and Fields” entry on page 5. Previous rules on populating certain fields with “999s” have been removed; all occurrences “where there is no data value for a field” will use the “||” bar bar output convention.
    • The revised dates for the implementation schedule, full size production test files, and transition period are provided on page 6.
    • There is a correction of the Record Type numbering on page 7.
