Ginnie Mae has required user registration and an agreement of its “Terms of
Use” statement on its Disclosure Data Download page since December of 2013. Ginnie
Mae is providing an update to the maintenance of the registrations for this
page, as follows:
- Disclosure Data Download Accounts will expire if not used on Ginnie Mae’s Disclosure Data Download page during a period of six
consecutive months.
- Users whose accounts are not used in a six month period will receive a
warning email prior to deactivation.
- Any user who has an account associated with a defective email address will
be deactivated.
The new policy applies to any account, regardless of when it was issued. The
new policy will ensure that anyone who legitimately uses an account for
downloading purposes can continue to do so. To give all interested parties time
to adjust, Ginnie Mae will not begin deactivating user registration accounts on
its Disclosure Data Download page until May 2016.
Users whose accounts have been deactivated and need to access Ginnie Mae’s
disclosure files can create a new account on the Disclosure Data Download
Account Settings page.
