2018-004: Presentation of Remaining Principal Balance and RPB Factor in GII Factor Files, Pool Payoffs
Published Date: 2/6/2018 12:00 AM

Ginnie Mae is improving the presentation of Remaining Principal Balance (RPB) and RPB Factor data for pools that are paying off in the GII Factor A (factorA2_YYYYMM.zip) and Factor B Files (factorB2_YYYYMM.zip). Currently, for MBS Multiple Issuer Pools (MIP) and HMBS Pools that are paying off in the current month, the “Remaining Security RPB” (field 7) and “RPB Factor” (field 8) fields are populated with blanks. Beginning in February 2018 (with January Factor data), the GII Factor A and Factor B Files will populate these fields with zeroes when MIP pools or HMBS pools are paying off.

There is no change to the Factor File schedule or to the Factor File layouts.
