Ginnie Mae is informing users of Disclosure Data files of a change to automation of file downloads related to Ginnie Mae’s recent website maintenance and upgrade. Users who manually access data disclosure files are not affected. Ginnie Mae is updating the Automating File Download Guide published in
Bulletin 2021-018; the most updated guide is attached in this announcement. The update includes additional instruction (whose purpose is related to new security scripting instructions) to include the user-agent header in the web request (see pages 3 and 4 of the guide for the new instructions).
