Background Investigation

To ensure the accomplishment of our mission, Ginnie Mae requires every employee to be reliable and trustworthy. To meet these standards, applicants must successfully complete a background investigation and maintain standards of conduct. Failure to meet these requirements will be grounds for termination.

Once you’ve completed and submitted your background investigation paperwork to the HR Representative, she/he will let you know when you’re able to submit an online application within the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Electronic Questionnaires for Investigation Process system, known as e-QIP. To learn more, click herearrow

Once you complete your e-QIP application, an investigator from OPM may conduct a background investigative interview with you. The investigator may also interview your current and previous work associates and neighbors.
